1 A very quiet pottery kind of day putting up a few more cards. This delightful one which arrived today has been made by the young son of a very special friend.
2 I love these very colourful decorations that should be safe from toddler hands as the fireguard will be up. (No fire will be lit!)
3 Three of the hyacinths that I brought out of the dark on 3rd December are already in flower! They smell so lovely. Click on the red link if you missed that post.
Happy Winter Solstice Day to you all. The days get longer from tomorrow; the sun is coming back!

As well as being beautiful – maybe they put us in touch with something inside that we have lost… Funny, lately I’ve been getting an urge to make those cut-out snowflakes we used to do as children….
I find myself wondering if – after all these months of ‘beautiful things’ – you find yourself looking at the world any differently than when you started. And when your ‘year of beautiful things’ ends, will you explore a new direction? I do hope you’ll continue blogging! 🙂
I may not be “about” until after Christmas, so I wish you a beautiful one!

Thank you for your comments – interesting idea that I might take a different direction in the New Year – hadn’t thought of that….
Hope you have a happy and peaceful Christmas too and we’ll meet again in the New Year. 🙂

A quiet day? YOU’RE KIDDING!! I can’t imagine …
Oh Sally, it’s great to come back for a view. I have a neglected inbox presently as pre Christmas, work has run me into the ground. Ugh. Looking so forward to some days off.
Merry Christmas in your beautiful household. I bet you have a great Christmas 🙂 – all that family!!
