1 Went to my favourite shop today – fabrics, wool, buttons , ribbons – everything a knitter/sewer could possibly want – to buy more wool for the little hoodies I’m knitting for the Grandchildren.
2 Eating out again! We do this so rarely usually but with family here we are having lovely treats day after day. I chose Cornish scallops again – I do love them!
3 After dinner we drove to Malpas along the Truro River – just beautiful!
and a special bonus tonight – the Olympic opening ceremony has been brilliant!

I would imagine that you spent hours in that shop,
well maybe just half an hour then but what did you
buy other than more wool? 🙂 Risitance is futile 🙂 lol
Have fun today MBT 🙂

If I was a child, and who is to say I am ”not”, those buttons would be better than Disneyland! Love, Linda

I agree! And those were only two of five button displays! 🙂

I love button shops. I’m not sure why, it must have something to do with playing with grandma’s button jar when I was a kid. I spent hours in button shops in the garment district in NYC.

I also played with my Granny’s button jar, never thought that’s where my love of buttons came from!
All the best to you

Thoroughly enjoyed the opening. Just felt at one stage it descended in to a bit of a cacophony of senseless noise. It started so brilliantly. Loved it though. Beautifully done. The lighting of that flame in the stadium was sheer magic. I’m sure you’re a proud Brit this morning.

I agree – the flame lighting was very beautiful – a magical climax! I’m now enjoying the games too.
Sorry for the delay in replying – it’s been very busy here! 🙂

No problem, I’ve seen that. I’m sure you’ve had a wonderful time, though.

As much as I would be tempted by the yarn, those buttons look interesting. I’d want to look through all of them!
July 28, 2012 at 5:59 am
And those are just the children’s buttons! There are five more racks all colour coded! 🙂

You’re the best page on the ‘net!

Well, that comment made my day! Thank you so much! I’m really glad you continue to enjoy to enjoy my three things 🙂
