The last three days have been a whirlwind of appointments and all is now well. It seems I have had a TIA, a minor stroke that has no lasting effect and is why I had to miss singing yesterday. The NHS have been wonderful from Specsavers on Wednesday afternoon, the GP on Thursday morning and the Consultant this afternoon. I can’t believe the speed with which I’ve been seen and looked after. It’s been a bit scary but I now have medication that should stop any recurrence. However I can’t drive for 28 days as ,despite meds, the next month is a bit iffy. My lovely Mr S is happy to drive me around and friends have offered lifts . All will be well.
On the wall in the hospital entrance is a remarkable piece of ceramic art, ‘Custom House Quay’ by Peter Wright.
For a treat afterwards we went to the bookshop where I found three books to buy and then to Fat Face where I found a sweatshirt which really ought to become the uniform for those of us who volunteer at Roots!
