Dawn Colours, Swanpool Walk and Slow Cooker

1    I like it when dawn is so late that it coincides with our getting up! The colours this morning from our front window were delicately beautiful.

2    We are taking advantage of these beautiful winter days to walk in some of our favourite places before I have my hip operation (I still don’t have a date – just probably December or January  and certainly no later than March12th!)  and am then confined to walking along our road for a few weeks.  Today we went to Swanpool and walked towards Gylly Beach. I have had a number of pain free days and feel brilliant! It makes me wonder why I am having the operation but then someone reminds me of how I have been feeling………    Join us as we move from the pool to the beach and then walk along the coastal path and back to the cafe for hot chocolate and cake!   Click on any photo for more detail.

3   We bought a slow cooker yesterday and as I write I can smell the deliciousness of steak and kidney…..  Roll on suppertime!

Seagulls, Frosty Fields and Successful Sales

1    Dawn was very interesting this morning – no colour in the East but a beautiful pink tinge in a thick layer in the West. The seagulls were calling loudly from the chimney pots this morning too.

2   It was a very frosty morning and the fields at the back stayed white until well after 11am. They were very beautiful with the sunlight glinting on the grass.

3   All the Lemon Curd sold tonight at another delightful singing session with The Inglehearts. The recipe, should you want it,  can be found here.

Sunrise, Full Moon and Home

1   As the aeroplane flew towards the dawn we caught just one shot through the tiny window.

2   That was followed by seeing the most beautiful full moon.

3  And now we are home after our brilliant adventures around New England!       Seeing Truro Cathedral from the train always meant that I was almost home and my Mum and Dad would always be at the station ready to take me, not home but to the sea, usually at Perranporth so that we could walk on the sands together, hear the waves and catch up on each other’s lives over the last term…  Lovely memories!
