Our clocks went back overnight and it really feels like autumn outside though the geraniums still have flowers.
I made Blueberry Compote today to have on autumnal breakfasts of waffles or porridge.
And a pleasing poem about Autumn for you.

Our clocks fall back next week. Extra light in the morning but darker in the evening. I’d like it lighter at both ends. 😀

Song for Summer… In joburg.
Too hot to sow,
And too hot to mow,
The dogs are sparko on the lawn,
Now the taters need hilling,
But the body’s not willing,
And the garden looks so forlorn.
Have got to be yup and doing,
Can’t just sit stewing,
Even though rain is nowhere near.
So I shall go for a wander,
Then look over yonder,
And by then it’ll be time for a beer.

Oh I love that! The warmth of your day travels well in your poem. Enjoy your beer! 🙂
