Autumn Fruits and Flowers

28 Sep

My favourite apples are Russets and a few days ago, dear friends gave me some from their tree. We have one Passion fruit still on the vine.

We still have lots of flowers in the garden.

There are still many in my garden too. The Anemone is on my list to have too. It is wonderful to see so many colours still now. Enjoy them !

Isn’t it and it’ll be October tomorrow! I’ve got your seeds ready to post . I heard on the radio that now is the time to be sowing them for over-wintering. I’m going to try some now and some in the Spring. 🙂

Weirdly my comment disappeared and I got a ‘Nonce validation failed’ on your site so I am trying the reader now.
What I said was that you have a very colourful garden given that it is almost October, and how wonderful to have a passion fruit. Is your garden particularly warm and sheltered?

Glad it worked on reader and wonder what happened.
There are still lots of individual colourful bits. I was surprised that there were 13 different ones. Our garden isn’t very sheltered. We have fields behind us and the wind chases down the hill and into our garden. We have put in lots of windbreaks in the way of fences, arches, shrubs and trees but we do feel the hoolies as they race over the hill.
We do feel very lucky to have a Passion fruit but I don’t suppose it’ll ripen enough be edible! 🙂
