Embroidery, Cake and Our Town

10 Nov

Many, many years ago my Mum embroidered pillowcases with Goodnight, the child’s name and kisses for all her Grandchildren and two of our four, now in their 40s, still have theirs, if a little worn. I have started today making such pillow cases for each of our six Grandchildren for Christmas.

First pillowcase

I iced the Hummingbird cake tonight to take to a shared supper and it went down well.

We love our small town. You might enjoy watching this video that tells you about Redruth, its history and how it is blossoming recently.

Love the way the yellow icing drips down the side of the cake. The video about Redruth makes me realize we missed the opportunity to explore the town during our last visit. We’ll have to correct that next time.
