Pink Wellies Walking, Mysterious Gate and Eldest Daughter (DP Challenge)

26 Dec

1   Lovely walk in the rain this morning, all togged up and all cobwebs blown away.

2   We wondered where this beautiful gate might lead to.

Beautiful old gate

3   Our eldest daughter, M, is with us today, for Christmas lunch no 2, silly games and easy tea of cheese and crackers, L’s homemade sausage rolls all followed by Christmas pud and brandy sauce.  D&A were on Skype again so we were ‘all together’ today.

You know up until a short time ago I didn’t know what willies were. I had to ask another for clarification.

Oh I would have sneaked a peak of what laid behind that door. If ever there was door the looked the part of gateway to an enchanted world it is that door. Honestly I couldn’t have resisted.

You must be the happiest mother hen when they come home to roost….the best part of this season.

The funny thing is that we’ve walked that path so many times and I have never spotted the gate before! I really must go back and investigate! 🙂
I am a very happy Mum! I am a very lucky person! 🙂

Sally! not snow, please! we’d be stuck here with all the wet we’ve had. We blew our cobwebs away with a walk on Porthtowan; it didn’t take long!

Not for me but the kids all want some despite the fact that they are in their 30’s and will be driving home in it in a day or two! Hope you’ve had a good few days and that your cooking has all gone to plan. Love to you both 🙂

What a great day you’re having! Will trade your rain for my snow though. 🙂
