Birds and Flowers in the Garden

08 Feb

The beautiful Longtail Tits are back! They are my all time favourite bird but they don’t often stay still long enough for a photo. They have joined all the others we have feeding in our garden, the “charm’ of Goldfinches, the Blue Tits , Coal Tits and Great Tits, the Pigeons and Black Caps, the Robins and Bullfinches, the Blackbirds and Magpies but today’s other rare treat was the Woodpecker who did stay long enough for a photo.

From August 2013

We’ve been tidying up in the garden today. It’s good to see Spring flowers appearing.

So encouraging to see pictures of your flowers coming up! We’re getting snow here in Maine (again).
I googled the long-tailed tit. What an adorable bird!

Here in Cornwall we rarely get snow, just the odd sprinkling. I think yours will be much deeper and maybe pretty for a while? I hope there is some pleasure in it….. I’m glad you’ve seen pictures of the Longtails. They are so pretty with their pink, white and grey and so delicate. They were here again today. 🙂

It is! It’s been a long grey winter and to see the Spring flowers arriving is a real boost. So glad you have some too. 🙂

You get so many different birds to me. No coaltits or long-tailed tits or bullfinch. I have seen the woodpecker and also greenfinch. Plus the usual suspects 😊
