Some time ago I saw some book earrings and discovered that they could be made for any book cover so I ordered some of my Dad’s most loved story, The Fate of Jeremy Visick, and they arrived today. I am absolutely delighted with them!

We found a moth on the side of the shed, very well camouflaged.
I have a new poem for you. It is written by Rachel Rooney who once said we should ‘start the day and end the day with a poem’ – an excellent rule to live by! This is Seeker
Eyes as wide as continents brim with the water between,
Seeks a different future. Looks back on what has been.Mouth seeks another language. Shapes a different air.
Unfamiliar classroom ways. The other whispered prayer.Heart seeks home. One it left and one it took along.
Echoes in the distance. Skips to a playground song.

Hello, I found your website after a little discussion with allotment neighbour of yours. I am an audio book narrator who lives not too far from you (in the next town down) and for a long time have been pursuing the possibility of producing Jeremy Visick into an audio book as I had discovered it has never been produced in this format. It is a book that has long since stuck with me since my primary school days. I have tracked down the current publisher (possibly) but thought maybe to make contact with you also. I wondered what your thoughts might be on this.

Hello, I love the idea! I’ll have to run it past my brother who is the literary executor but I can’t see why not. Perhaps we should meet up to chat about your ideas so I can pass info on to P. Cheers, Sally

Yes it would be lovely to meet up for a chat! I can’t see where I can leave you my email privately here. But my site is audiobooksbyhelen.co.uk if you want to pop a quick email there and we can go from there if you like.

I love the poem and will check out the book. I have been reading a book of poems by Robert Frost. I read a few every night before bed.

I’m in the U.S. and had not been familiar with your father’s book until you mentioned it in a blog post quite some time ago. I ordered it and loved it!
