We planned on making Halloumi Peppers for tea tonight but there was no halloumi. We improvised with cheddar mixed with breadcrumbs, mustard and garlic pepper and it was pleasingly tasty.
I made some delicious meringue topped Cinnamon Stars, Zimtsterne, this afternoon and they are truly delicious. The recipe by Jurgen Krauss was one of the 20 Best Recipes in the Observer a couple of weeks ago.

Wow you are good. I never attempted Zimtsterne, I thought they are quite difficult! You are a great cook and baker , Sally!

They were fun to make though painting the meringue on was a bit fiddly. They really weren’t hard to make and are truly delicious. I could send you the recipe if you like. 🙂
