I read a lovely poem yesterday that I wanted to share with you, dear readers. Angi Sullins, the poet has very kindly given me permission. I love the last lines and would encourage you to “show up. sing. shine.” The world has never needed us more to do all three.
the next timeyou refuse to singbecause you’ll neverfill a stadiumor decline the joy of dancefor fear of lookingridiculousor you resist riskingthe new adventurebecause you’renot entirely ready oryou dim your shinebecause you’re notcompletely healed and whole
the next timeyou hold yourself suspectbecause you’re notentirely qualifiedjust remembera bird doesn’t singbecause it’s talenteda bird sings becauseit has a songthe moon doesn’t only shinewhen it’s wholeit can show up witha single sliver of itselfand still light an entirenight skyshow up. sing. shine.the world needs youas you are.

I was pleased I was allowed to share it as I knew there were readers out there, like you, who would also appreciate it. That one strawberry tasted deliciously sweet! They are looking as if they will ripen one at a time so I’m not sure well ever get a bowlful from our six plants. 🙂

It’s interesting – the readers I thought would appreciate that poem are all telling me that they do – very happy about that. 🙂
