Whitebred Shorthorn

16 Nov

There are some beautiful, white, fluffy rare cattle on the cliffs at Godrevy, the Pendeen herd of Whitebred Shorthorns. This one posed for me a couple of days ago.

How anyone could slaughter and eat such a marvelous animal is beyond me.

My husband laughs at me. I often make sure that we pull over to take photos of cattle, sheep etc, as we travel around. I love to see the different breeds, particularly those that I am unfamiliar with. Thank you so much for sharing…

My pleasure. I’ll watch out for more rare ones for you. 🙂

Whitebred Shorthorn embryos have been imported to western Canada to start a breeding herd of cattle for the grass fed, dare I say marketplace. Grass fed cattle are becoming all rage with fast food chains. I know this because a friend just schooled me over a glass of beer.
