A Blackbird serenaded us the whole time we were watering and weeding today.

Good morning, we have a blackbird and his family and every morning and evening he serenades us. I always make a cuppa and sit outside in the garden listening. When I 1st go out and hear him I always say good morning Mr Blackbird and good evening Mr Blackbird!! Some might think I’m silly, but I like to greet him 👍🥰 Have a lovely day love Judith

I don’t think you are silly at all. I thank our blackbird for his lovely song. Blackbirds sing always bring me happy but poignant memories. In my Dad’s last months, with a terminal diagnosis, we would sit in his back garden, always with a chilled glass of white wine and Dad would whistle to the blackbird who replied in kind. Their ‘conversation’ would often last several minutes.
