1. I love the bright yellowness of dandelions and the delicacy of the seed heads.
2. The baby trousers and Sally-boots that I made for Grandbaby B are here modelled beautifully.
3. The bird life here is remarkable – such variety. My favourite today was this Greater Spotted Woodpecker.

Lucky baby to have such beautiful hand-knitted keep-me-warms. Nothing compares with seeing the items you’ve knitted put to good use.
Agree about the medallions of gold, but I try to lop heads off before the puffball stage. They are a menace among the smaller perennials like primroses.
Got a couple of shots of my woodpecker friends the other morning too. One of the few days with real photography sunshine. Such a joyful burst of colour in the garden. Your tree is in a more advanced bud-burst than mine. The season’s are always late on our windy hill – except winter! .

to capture the woodpecker is an achievement and the clarity of the dandelion seed head is great!

All beautiful things, indeed! I enjoyed seeing the Greater Spotted Woodpecker, as we don’t have them here.
