I’ve given you the song in Meme’s blog and here’s a poem that I love followed by a fine painting . Goethe’s own words are the sensible ones for today.
2 Don’t Go Far Off by Pablo Neruda
Don’t go far off, not even for a day, because —

The Goethe quote is very thought-provoking and also worthwhile. How important it is to do such small but important things on a daily basis. And Neruda is a wonderful poet. We had one of his poems as a reading at our wedding, read in Spanish.

It was Sonnet XVII from Cien Sonetos de Amor –

I studied Spanish as my first degree so it meant a lot to me, plus my wonderful cousin lives in Spain and is fluent in Spanish so she did the reading perfectly. 🙂 Oh and she’s from Cornwall originally – coincidentally!
