Tate Modern, The South Bank and St Paul’s

It was another day of 30C and we ventured out to see the Giacometti exhibition at Tate Modern, where photos are not allowed. The walk around the area was fascinating and brought back memories of being there 40 years ago when our son was in Guy’s Hospital having heart operations. I spent hours in Southwark Cathedral when D was in the operating theatre.

    Wonderful pics Sally… I found the outline drawing of Sir Francis Drake and his bowls fascinating… such a simple evocative drawing, and it brought back so many layers of memory and history … more so than the beautiful picture of Shakespeare, which is so well known it doesn’t resonate so much… and what gorgeous views of St Pauls and the other buildings…
