Wren, Creature and Sheepish

08 Oct

1. Sitting on the front porch this morning a raucous chatter disturbed my reading. It was a Carolina Wren who stayed around for ages.

2. On the wall of the porch was a delightful creature, maybe a cricket but it was very quiet, looking like a corn cob. Can anyone help with its id?

3. We went shopping for yarn! What a treat! I found some wool to complement the colours given to me by my beloved SIL. I shall now be able to complete the Kanoko Ami pants I have started for Grand baby B. My hands were itching to knit. – I can’t think why I thought I could be okay for a month away without bringing my knitting!

It is a Bug or a Beetle. Borers have long antennae. Some variation in the Cucumber Beetle family I think. Spectacular colors say “don’t eat me” to predators!

When there happy, Wrens and Sparrows sing like no other.

Your wickedly weird creature reminds me of Monarch Butterfly whose loss it’s wings.

    Face it, your an addict.
