I was given more quince yesterday. Having already made quince jelly and membrillo, these I am going to roast following a recipe given to me yesterday by one of the volunteers.
There’s a new postbox topper to celebrate Hallowe’en and I love it!
Coming home from taking the photo, I just caught some sunset. It looks like a raging fire in the sky.

Cornwall’s postbox toppers are always so clever. I bet Quince would be good in chutney too.

We have a quince tree in the garden, first planted nearly 12 years ago, brought back from a visit to my brother in law in Portugal.
In all that time it has only produced one fruit!… And that was last season.
We have never been able to establish the reason for this.
