Hanging Basket, Sweet Corn and Passion Flowers

06 Sep

I went into town for the first time in seven weeks this afternoon and loved the colour in the lamp-post baskets. I was there for the 4pm Redruth Resists Silent Vigil for Palestine and was heartened by how many drivers honked their horns and waved.

We have eaten our first crop of sweet corn this evening and it was absolutely delicious with a little salt and lots of butter.

There are still blooms on our Passion Flower and today I noticed we have a fruit! I don’t suppose it will ripen now the nights are drawing in but it’s pleasing anyway.

Glad to hear that you are getting out and about again. We have a fruit on the passion flower in our new garden too, but I don’t think it will ripen now x

Yes, it was good to walk in town for a little while. I’ve missed those glorious baskets! Hope you are settling in well. 🙂
