Silver, Mince Pies and Parmesan Stars

23 Dec

We discovered a beautiful little shop today, that has been in Hayle for many years! I’ll show you on Christmas Day what was bought there today.

This afternoon I have made many mince pies for our traditional visit from our neighbours tomorrow afternoon, after the BBC’s  Nine Lessons and Carols on Radio 4.

With the leftovers of pastry, I made lots of parmesan stars, so tasty and tiny that they are nearly all gone already!

The shop assistant was delighted when I asked to take a picture because the wallpaper was so lovely. She thinks it came from B&Q which surprised me for some reason. The pies and parmesan stars are delicious. It’s a good job Sue and house mates are coming tomorrow – if it were much later, I think they’d all be eaten up!
A peaceful and happy Christmas to you and yours too. It’s just the two of us for Christmas with more family coming in the New Year. 🙂
