Rest and Recuperation

29 Sep

Our new friends came to choir with me today. We sang our Ukrainian song, Nohyalita, for them and they sang for us. It was just brilliant and everyone was moved.

Afterwards we took them to the sea at Gyllyngvase, had lunch at the Gylly Cafe and  they walked on the beach to enjoy the peace and the sounds and smells of the sea. One of them went for a swim! They all had fun.

How nice it is that you’re able to take in your Ukrainian friends. I don’t have any room so have to make do donating supplies, clothing, food, etc. We’ll done for being amazing 💙

Thank you. It is the most beautiful thing to meet these remarkable young people, to share the care with our neighbours and to hear, first hand of what is going on in their lives and those of their families. There are six people altogether for the two week project of the drama company. One is staying with us, two next door and three in a neighbour’s home while she is away so we are sharing meals and journeys and all making some very special friends. 🙂
