We awoke to find two beautiful White Poppies in bloom.

Haven’t got these species of poppy in our garden. I know Tish Farrell also has some of these in her garden over in Much Wenlock

I shall go and visit Tish again. Sadly, our red poppies seem to have succumbed to the dreadful winter but we live in hope! 🙂

Love your blue poppies – do you grow them in special soil or anything? I suspect my spot is too windy for them, but they are such a fabulous colour.

They are in a sheltered spot and in shade. They like the same soil as Camellias and we cover them with straw over the winter. We have lost plants in the past but keep trying because we love them so much! 🙂
