One of my favourite shops in town has started to stock wool and I went in today to see the new shelves – lots of gorgeous colours!
I couldn’t resist buying some very pretty multi-coloured wool and am now thinking of what to make with it!
I like to bake a big dishful of whatever, have some for tea and freeze away several potions so that we have ‘ready meals’ always available for when we don’t feel like cooking. Tonight it was a big dish of Moussaka. .

Ove that wool, I love a good woolshop too, just like a bookshop. 🙂

Love the yarn ~ maybe a cozy scarf or shawl? Your moussaka looks yummy . . . my mom made it with ground lamb so I haven’t had any in 30 years (since I turned vegetarian in 1995).
That said, I do what you do: make the FULL amount and freeze portions for down the road. I usually have an assortment of dishes in the freezer ready to defrost and reheat when cooking holds no appeal. 😀

Actually, I don’t use lamb either but a mixture of puy lentils and ground pork and we eat very little red meat.
It’s called sock yarn so only 4 ply. I thought it might work for Dorset buttons but I didn’t like last night’s effort very much. Knitting it will be – but not socks!
I like your expression, ‘when cooking holds no appeal.’ It happens more frequently these days! 🙂

I absolutely love going into a wool shop and seeing the wool displayed like that. It makes you want to buy it all!!! Take care Love Judith x

I could spend far too much in a wool shop. I do have to contain myself!
Look after yourself, love, Sally x

That moussaka looks delicious. For no apparent reason we haven’t eaten moussaka since my best friend, Harry and his wife moved back to Cyprus. I must see if I can pursuade my wife to prepare a dish.

It is a delicious dish. Perhaps you could have a go at it! 🙂
