The moon is full now and is called the Snow Moon. Sadly we have cloud cover and no sight of the moon but last night I was up at 2am and the garden was lit up almost like day. There were shadows caused by the silvery light of the almost full moon. Instead of a photo, here is a lovely poem for you.
I shall hope for less cloud tomorrow and perhaps a shot of the Snow Moon.

I have never heard this term before. It was bright and full down here in Johannesburg, even though there were wispy clouds here and there

I love seeing the moon, full or just a wee sliver. I looked up Snow Moon, “The full moon, also known as the Snow Moon, is set to illuminate the night sky today, February 12. This celestial event gets its name from the heavy snowfall typical of the month. NASA has explained that heavy snowfall, making hunting difficult, led to it being called the ‘Snow Moon’.” 🙂

I had forgotten this poem! Once I read the first line I vlosed my eyes and could recite itvstill from memory. That’s been stuck in there for 60 years!!
