We saw something rare and beautiful this morning on the side of our dustbin – a newly emerged butterfly with its chrysalis right there beside it.
High pressure has brought us a glorious Autumn day today, warm enough to sit outdoors with Daughter No 1 who has arrived to help out for the next week. The sunlight pattern through the leaves was lovely enhanced by the last blue Cornflowers.
The sky has been the loveliest blue all day.
