Day Lily, Eryngium and A Feather

12 Jul

Such a hot day, I have sat in the shade or indoors and read all day long. My current book has 1073 pages and it’s good to have an excuse to simply sit and read the fifth in the Cormoran Strike series, Troubled Blood by Robert Galbraith.

My photos today are from a quick foray into the garden and later when it was a little cooler, down to the allotment to water various plants and some desperate tomatoes  (Not sure they’ll survive but if not I’ll make Green Tomato Jam).

Gorgeous aren’t they? They get bluer and lovelier by the day. 🙂

Haven’t read the books but I did enjoy the TV series. It was hot today! Too hot to garden and it is not often I can say that.

I’m not a fan of big heat. I think I may get a lot of reading done over the next few days with the forecasts predicting 23C even here in relatively cool Redruth. The book I have just read has been made into a TV series too, to be broadcast in the Autumn. 🙂

Read again today and have just finished it – a jolly good read. 🙂

That would take me forever. I have been telling myself I should read In search of lost time by Proust but when I think of the size, I put that idea off.
