Foxgloves, Honeysuckle and Blackberries

10 Sep

We didn’t do the Story Walk today  as it will be much more fun in the sun. Watch this space.  We did though, go round the back in the mizzle and found late Foxgloves, Honeysuckle and something yellow! We also picked a good haul of Blackberries and are looking forward to some Blackberry and Apple Crumble soon.

I confess. I confess. I confess. What is this mizzle she speaks of. I got goggle and I know how to use it. Low behold, I done my share of ‘in the mizzle’. Everything looks fresher, and more alive, with wee bit of mizzle -like olive oil.

You are right, the mizzle does freshen everything up. It is light but surprisingly wetting. 🙂

But I still can’t quite get it to taste quite like Mum’s. I think she used much more butter and sugar than I dare. 🙂

I think the something yellow could be ragwort. The blackberries are lovely this year, even better in the lanes than the ones I grow!

Thank you. I can always rely on you to help with identification. There are still lots of blackberries to come too, the recent sunshine will have helped. 🙂
