Reds of Three Hues

26 Jun

Our eyes were drawn to the dramatic flash of red in the hedgerow on our walk today – it’s a Dock leaf.

Yesterday there was a bud and today a glorious frilly Poppy. Now it’s raining very hard so I hope it survives a bit longer.

Red again as I spotted out first two raspberries. We must net soon or we’ll have to share them.

Gorgeous poppy. Two of our raspberries are starting to turn. I was interested in your comment that you have to net them. Birds?

Exactly so, the birds love them as much as I do and seem to get there first if we are not careful! 🙂

Good to know. We haven’t had that problem, but there’s always a first time.
