Marching, Music and Hope

23 Nov

Today there was a March for the Arts in our small town. There  was a brilliant turnout, with fabulous music, many marchers ( over 400 people) and an impassioned speech from the Labour candidate Paul Farmer.  We left with a feeling of hope.

Well done – marching for the arts! So essential for all and for the good of society. We live in a tory town in a tory county and we have seen the arts here decimated. Grants removed from small venues and larger venues alike.

We are also in a Tory constituency but are working towards changing that! 🙂
