Today is a day of sunshine and showers and I popped out between showers to find my Six for this Saturday. I love catching raindrops in my photos and it is so lovely to see signs of Spring, albeit only a few flowers just yet – but – Spring is coming. The grass hasn’t stopped growing all winter. It was mowed only last week and is up again but it is far too wet to be cut right now.

Your garden must be quite sheltered compared to mine. None of my bulbs are flowering yet, though one or two daffs have buds. Or maybe you have the early varieties.

I love the way the crocus holds the water like that – it makes them look even more photogenic than on a sunny day.

And – I just thought – you need to get your Snowdrops this year as they work best when planted ‘in the green’ that is, they have finished flowering but the leaves are still strong and green. They are quite expensive but they spread quite well. 🙂

We’ve had one in flower already but it was knocked over by the rain so I brought it in. Are yours not so ready yet? When we were at Eden a few weeks ago, there were already swathes ! 🙂
