There was a delightful Christmas Market outside the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. I resisted most of the stalls though I loved the fruity decorations which I am going to try to make and, everywhere we go, I buy a new Angel for the Christmas tree. There was music playing around the market and one of the songs was ‘Nana Nanita’ a Spanish lullaby which both my choirs sing.

Love the fruity stall. We have a number of Christmas decorations made of (fake) fruit and pine cones. Very festive, in a natural sort of way.

They are pretty aren’t they and they smell so good of cinnamon. I’ve started drying fruit to make one myself. I’ll show you if it works! 🙂

Another lovely post. Such gleams of light are so needed in this crazy world. The photo is of me aged 11 and my late beloved mother, Margaret. I was very soon to depart our prefab council estate in Pengegon to go to boarding school as a scholarship boy with a total bursary because of my one parent background. I spent 7 years there whilst my 3 siblings were educated in Camborne. The experience inspires some of my writing.
