The piece that I looked at for ages and found most moving was a collection of carved Buttermilk prison issue soaps called Prison by Lee Cutter, just a small selection of detail for you here.

It’s well worth a visit and you aren’t far away…. It’s fun but doesn’t touch the heart as other exhibitions have done – apart from the soaps, so simple and powerful. 🙂

Yes, I looked at them for ages , along with a boy of about 13 who was with his school. He clearly found them a draw as I did and was sketching various soaps in great detail. 🙂
