KwaZulu Natal – Day 14

07 May

May 7th 2018

Another walk today, described as gentle but still rather demanding on my poor ankles! However, it was very pretty through the Fern Forest and along to May’s Falls where our wonderful guide served us tea and Flapjacks before an easy walk back. He carried the hot water etc all through the walk! Most of us did this walk today with the intrepid four going up to Sugarloaf Mountain, a seven hour trek. This afternoon we played bowls for the first time, all of us having great fun.

Greater Kingfisher

What a place to play bowls and I won one game!

    Bowlly you, er bully you.

Intrepid does have risks. My niece once lived Kenya, working with a women’s coopertive. She thought it would be fun to climb Kilamonjario till she fall off it and spent a month in a Nairobi hospital. But whats life without risk.

Brown Hooded Kingfisher and a Mud Dauber Wasp (Sceliphron spirifex)

You are putting us to shame. I usually call it quits after half an hour walking round the local mall!

    🙂
