KwaZulu Natal – Day 13

06 May

The hike we did today, the ‘easy’ one was a challenge indeed! If it were not for Ephraim, our guide hauling me up over the rocks I might have had to be rescued by Helicopter!

Found outside our room.

Gorgeous butterfly amongst the flowers! You two are just so adventurous. Love it!

    Love the butterfly . . . and Arkenaten’s ID!
Glad your guide kept you going.

The butterfly is a Gaudy Commodore.
This is the DSF – Dry Season Form. They change in the summer – WSF Wet Season Form, and are orange and black.

We do get this species up here in Gauteng, apparently, but to date, I have never seen one. Lucky fish!

Thank goodness for a helping hand. How are your ankles holding up with all this walking?
