Robin, Gardening and A Useful New Word

26 Mar

I caught one of the Robins on Welly Dog’s head this morning.

Robin and Welly Dog

The sun shone again for a while this morning and I planted up the herbs in my vegetable trug. As the rain came in this afternoon I read my new book. The following, from Cicero,  is especially for my blogger friends with whom I share a love of gardening – and reading!

Garden and Library

What a wonderful word Scurryfunge is! It certainly has a place in our household! Does it in yours?

The Robins are showing themselves here as well, but I think their diet is still the dried fruit on the crabapple trees, no worms from the frozen soil yet!

Hahaha I often have a scurryfunge, in fact I could do with some visitors after seeing all the dust everywhere when the sun shone this morning!! I also agree that having a garden and a library is all one needs, though food (and wine) now and then helps too 🙂

I used that Cicero quote in an article I submitted to our neighborhood newsletter ~> but added “. . . as long as the garden has tomatoes.” 😀
