Spider, Camellia Flowers and Blue

13 Mar

I was photographing the delicate Narcissi when I noticed the spider within.

The lane we walk down to get to town is covered in dropped Camellia flowers. These two caught my eye, one recently fallen and one in a further state of decay.

The wall garden is looking pretty with blue Hyacinths and yellow Tete a Tete.

How lovely to see the UK spring blossoms. My poor snowdrops have been buried under a foot of snow once again.

We were amazed to see how most of our flowers recovered after the snow – but we did have only 4″ at most here except where it drifted. It is lovely to see the bright colours of Spring. I’m having lunch at Trelissick with your SIL today! 🙂

Sadly the recent freezing temperatures and snow won’t have done the lovely Cornish flowers any good, I suspect many camellias and magnolias will be brown. I managed to bring my white camellia indoors, where it is going to stay until the wind and heavy rains forecast have vanished. Sigh… I am more than ready for spring to stay sprung.

Oh, so are we! And freezing temperatures forecast for the weekend once this wind and rain have passed through. Roll on Spring! 🙂

Of the flowers in the post we have a few daffs at our spot.

Oh, and in case you’re interested. The spider is a common Garden Spider – Araneus diadematus

    I’m just showing off!

    🙂

I had hoped that you might be able to identify my spider! Thank you 🙂
