I have been at another glass workshop, again taught by Lisa Macfarlane and organised this time by Upcycle Kernow, a new venture in Portreath with the idea of intercepting ‘rubbish’ going to landfill and upcylcling it. We used bottles, a glass lampshade and a double glazed window today along with a few bits from Lisa’s store, left over from her making stained glass windows. Here is my piece – in honour of the Suffragettes, of course!
The Upcycle Kernow workshop is indicated on the road by a delightful golden bicycle.
I have salvaged just a few Narcissi blooms as the others have made their way to being recycled in the compost.

Thank you. I found it quite challenging to be left so free to design my own thing. I cut lots of pieces and then kept arranging them until I was pleased. Everything changes a little when you start using the solder! 🙂

Thank you! I had to concentrate really hard and came home tired but happy with the result. 🙂
