Our friends brought beautiful Daffodils yesterday and today they are nearly all open and have that delicious scent of Spring.
I made a Chicken, Ham and Leek pie yesterday for lunch and today have rolled out the leftover pastry and studded it with bird seed as a treat for our bird visitors.
We had an unusual visitor at the peanuts today. We think it is a female Blackcap but her colouring was very pale. I’m sure someone will be able to confirm or otherwise for us.

Sorry, can’t help. Not familiar with many European birdies much any more.

Sorry, Sally. Google is your friend of course.
Or maybe there is a British Bird Group on Facebook?
I regularly post photos to several such groups when I need an ID on the spiders and insects I photograph.

Great photo of the daffodils. They are such cheerful signs of spring. Your pie sounds delicious. Yum!
