What a Difference a Day Makes!

18 Feb

How lucky we were with the sunny weather on our Sketching day yesterday! Then, our Tete a Tetes in our Three Wise Monkeys planter threw an early morning shadow on the wall that pleased me. Today has been another day of relentless rain and the monkeys, the flowers, the webs and the coconut fibre are all dripping. Click on the photo to see all the individual raindrops.

Sunshine and shadows

Dripping!

The unique copper planter was made especially for me by Jeremy Beswick, We are very lucky to have several pieces of his beautiful copper work.

It has been an indoors day and we spent the morning making a delicious ‘lunch on Sunday’ for some very dear friends (We don’t do traditional Sunday lunch!) We had a lovely time catching up and then spent the afternoon reading and watching a very exciting and pleasing football match!

Art in plein aire is great ~> but not when you’re trying to sketch between the raindrops. Glad you had a good day yesterday and a lovely indoor day today.
