Hailstones, Notebook and Another Song

07 Feb

There was another white covering this morning, only hailstones here in Redruth but just over the hill in Lanner and St Day and in Truro 10 miles away,  there was so much snow as to cause traffic chaos!   Localised weather in Cornwall is fascinating.

Hailstones on our outdoor table

At least ten years ago, a very dear friend gave me a beautiful little notebook in which I collect words that I love, sometimes on a page there is just one word like ‘apricity’ or ‘petrichor’ and the name of the person who gave it to me.  On other pages there are words of wisdom that I have heard or read. I will share these here in due course.

Present from Angie

My SIL sent this song to me today and I think there are many of you out there who will also appreciate the words. I had never thought of ‘love’ and ‘hope’ as being four letter words before.

What a great idea for a notebook. I’m always jotting down words or phrases I like, but can never find the bit of paper I wrote them on! The weather is very odd, I wasn’t expecting snow in Cornwall, well not this far west.

Love the notebook . . . and the song.

A beautiful book, and a lovely use for it.
We’re getting snow in Maine now, and expecting about a foot of it. Want to trade places?
