Trelissick Walk on a Windy Winter Day

17 Jan

After a lovely chatty lunch in the cafe with a dear friend, a walk around the gardens at Trelissick in between the very heavy showers was just the thing.

From the Tennis courts across Channals Creek to Falmouth

Azalea. Green grass. And I cleaned the snow off my drive tonight.

They are doing the same in Scotland – we in the South West benefit from warmer climes if rather damp ones. 🙂

It all looks so beautiful and peaceful… have you had the wild weather and snow I’ve been reading about ??

That moment truly was the quiet between the storms and I was lucky to catch it. We’ve had no snow being in the far South West but we are certainly getting the wildness with Atlantic hoolies blowing in, trees down (not ours) and crazy tides and waves as you have seen in my next post! 🙂

Lovely photos. Poor trees. Wonder if they closed the gardens at all?. Such wild weather yesterday. I experienced the full force of the west wind at Poldhu. Wild and wonderful seas!!
