Delight, Autumn Wreath and A Mural

23 Nov

One of my photos has been published today in The Guardian on their weather pages! I am over the moon! You can find the original here.

My photo in The Guardian!

Walking through Penryn today, I was drawn to a lovely red door with a wreath of autumn leaves.

Door in Penryn

One of my favourite shops has a new mural, a winter one replacing the sunny, summer one. I love seeing them. The artist  is Elizabeth Perry.

    G’day Miss Published.

Simple delights – perfect. In winter, walks especially during a full-moon in February. When the nighttime temperature dips down to breath crystallizing temps. The night really is a warming blue. Hearing becomes astute. The air tastes alive. A kind magic which tugs on the soul. Making it hard to image a world beyond the moment. Good medicine for cabin fever.

Purty door! ….Here, autumn door wreaths have been replaced with sleigh bells and pine boughs suggesting good bye to Fall; hello Winter.

Well, thank you, kind Sir! It was a delightful moment to see my photo in the paper!
I had never seen an Autumn wreath before, really pretty. Christmas ones are beginning to appear.
It never gets that cold here in Cornwall any more though I do remember breath cooling magic as a child even in Cornwall. We used to get snow but haven’t seen any for years.

    Good for you, Sally!
Did you submit it or did they come across it and ask to use your work?

Never seen an autumn wreath before. What a clever idea.

I submitted it. When I took the shot, I thought it may not work but when I saw it on screen I was pleased with it and decided to send it in. You can imagine my delight when it was used! 🙂
