The sun came out today! We sat out and read our books, had lunch outside and soaked up the glorious warmth. We saw fleeting butterflies, heard bees in the flowers and watched a Bumble bee collecting nectar.

The Tibuchine Urvilleana is just gorgeous. Your garden makes me wish I lived in a place with rain. Looks like you’ve mastered close-ups on your new camera. Did you buy the A900?

I couldn’t get it here, sadly. I ended up with a Canon PowerShot SX730 HS which is okay but not as happy-making as my NikonS9700. Close ups are good and the zoom is 40x but it doesn’t have a food setting, nor sunset/rise or beach or all the others that the Nikon had. The Nikon does still work without its lens cover so I am keeping it in a bag in the kitchen for my food shots! 🙂

Love seeing bees working – great pics! I’ve been watching them here too. It’s amazing how many different insects rely on the pollen from just one type of flower! Sometimes 4 to 5 different types of insects will visit just one dandelion. The Tibuchine Urvilleana is just lovely. Sounds like I would have fit right in to your activities there. This weather is great for me with my chalk drawing. Hugs!
