I spotted this ‘pasty’ in the car park after singing this morning.
We went to Porthtowan for a cliff walk and supper at The Blue Bar tonight as I wanted to see the sunset. I loved one of the house names up the side of the path.
The waves were good and splashy against the rocks and the sunset was gorgeous. Click on a photo see the detail.
P.S. As I was writing this, a message came in on Facebook which made me very happy. Apparently it is World Teachers’ Day and one of my ex pupils has named me for the help I gave her. It is lovely to be remembered so.

Hey Teach, honours bestowed outweigh payola any day.
House sign -clever and shows pride of ownership, I think.

Much better, I agree. Think you are right on the house sign too. 🙂

Ah … Cornish Pasties!
Something my wife had no inkling of when we first married. Oddly enough it was me that first made pastry in our house – a quiche – and it was this that prompted making pasties.
My wife’s culinary skills in this area ( as in every facet of food) quickly surpassed my meagre efforts and she makes better pastry than my own mum … Ssshh! 🙂
Congrats on Teachers Day.
I did a small stint as a temp teacher as part of my Teaching Prac when I got my formal qualifications from Birkenhead Tech to teach Hairdressing. I was 19 or 20 I think? Not my finest hour! lol…. and certainly nothing I will ever be fondly remembered for.

I like your walks and especially how they so often involve food.
