Purple Poppies, Frida Kahlo and Orange Car

27 Jun

I love the delicacy of these purple poppies’ petals.

We chose the route home that takes us along Bond Street where there is a newish gallery called Studio 10 whose windows we like to look into. What treasures there today! A whole exhibition to Frida Kahlo – and when I looked it up, I discovered that the exhibition, The Frida Experiment, starts on Sunday until July 15th with this byline –  ‘Sixteen artists working in various disciplines expressing how Frida Kahlo has influenced their work.’ I shall be back next week to have a proper look.

Nearer home, there is a house where interesting cars can often be seen. Today it is this orange delight. I don’t know what it is but I like it and hope one of my readers may be able to enlighten me.

Waiting to be told what this car is....

Hello!! So glad you spotted the window at Studio 10! I’m one of the artists involved, we are running a day of Frida inspired workshops on the 9th July if you’re interested!

    Here’s some details:

    11-12 – Lino/mono printing
    12.30-1.30 – shrine making
    2-3 – jewellery making
    6-8 – costume drawing

£10 per session or £25 for the whole day. Each session will be a very small group and everyone will make something glorious to take home! Email me if you’d like to book, want any more info!

Hope to meet you on Sunday!

Looks Classic American, no idea what it is, but nicely restored or maintained.
