Breakfast, Victorians and Stock

01 Nov

My breakfast egg was a double yolker!

I came across an old photo today where my parents and Uncle and Aunt decided to make a family portrait in the style of the Victorians. Despite the stern faces I remember them laughing a lot getting ready for the photo and afterwards. Here we have a photo of that photo. I clearly still found it funny!

I was reducing stock this afternoon and liked the lacy pattern as it came to the boil.

What a great photo of the family! You look now so much like your mother did then. And your father must indeed have been the handsomest man in Europe.

I love old photos like that – the man on the back left reminds me of pictures of my Dad as a young man and the one on the far right makes me think of my ex father-in-law lol. Isn’t that funny how we can see people from our now in pictures from back then even without being related?! Two yolks in one egg….very good luck indeed “-)
