Live Wire J, 7, is helping with tonight’s blog, has chosen the photos, the title and is dictating the text.
Today we baked more buns, chocolate ones and Butterfly buns. When they came out of the oven to cool, J put more chocolate drops on the top to melt and then we went to Truro. We went through the back lanes to avoid the holiday traffic, met some horses and other cars in the very narrow Cornish lanes. There were flags up in Truro and we went to The Arts Cafe for a treat, babyccinos and lemon drizzle cake. J spent his pocket money on two pencils that he can use at school. Tomorrow we are going to shave off a bit of yellow paint so that J can write his name there.

Hello J. Your blog reminds me of my grandson – now grown up and sailing boats as well as driving cars. He used to help me make ‘jam hearts’ as, at just two years old he couldn’t say jam tarts. I loved your choice of pictures and enjoyed your words.

Then I should and shall address my comment to ‘The Livewire’, whom I think deserving of all accolades this humble reader and others can bestow. You have summed up your day with your Grandparents, with pictures and words, that I can smell those cookies from a far, and feel the warmth of day on my face. A memorable day for all I am certain. The lines of flags, make an incredible impression on me, as they flap in the breeze, the colour electric. I think lemon drizzle cake might be favourite for someone looking over shoulder as I recall it’s mention on this blog before. Thank you for sharing your day; it is good to know what others do in a country other than one’s own.
