For our last walk this morning we went up to Carn Brea, a favourite of the children as the boulders are such fun to clamber over. It always intrigues me how the castle, once a Chapel built in 1379, was constructed using the huge boulders as part of the supporting wall.

A very lively and lovely puppy caught their attention for a while.
It has been a day of sunshine and showers and then this beautiful double rainbow caught quickly from the kitchen window.

Rainbow …. last time I saw a rainbow we had two and I didn’t have the camera handy. About 3 months ago. Rainbow gives me a good feeling of endlessness.

I treasure every moment and know how lucky we are – to have been born in a safe place, to have had a kind and loving up-bringing, to have met the right man, to have had his support through some very tricky times that we have come through together, to love and be loved – yes, I am grateful……

Yes, aren’t we lucky? 🙂 By the way, I made your delicious recipe while the children were here. J told me that he doesn’t like meat balls so I asked about home-made sausages and he wasn’t sure about them. He told me though that he loves burgers so I just re-shaped your Longanista mix into burgers and he loved them!! His Mum now has the recipe to make at home. Thanks again. 🙂

It must have been windy up there…We had it windy in London. And up on Carn Brae I remember it always terribly windy, but great!

It was! I was concerned that J would be blown off the boulder at one point! 🙂 By the way, I am working on a project about the ‘residents’ of St Euny Churchyard and wonder if you have any stories you could share? I know you were married there……. All the best to you, Sally 🙂

Sally, I don’t have any stories but I always loved the romantic church and churchyard, with lovely backdrop of the country side. My youngest son was also christened there. it must be rather interesting do do a project and finding out about people and families.

They have been there since time began! The building has been on top of them since 1379 so I think they are solid enough. I hope so too! 🙂
