Carn Brea, Rainbow and Truro Cathedral

18 Feb

We had a lovely stomp to the Bassett Monument today on the top of Carn Brea where the rock formations are such fun to clamber over. As we went up the sun was shining but we could see rain falling into the sea on the North coast. It came our way and we sheltered under the big stones and then were entranced by the rainbow. Carn Brea Castle was a short distance away. From this high point the sea on both coasts can be seen.

In the afternoon KJ and I had some Mother and Daughter time together in Truro, rare and precious time indeed.

From the bottom up: Twin spires I guess doubles one’s aspiration. You climbed rocks, spied two coasts in a glance and topped it off with a ride on a Rainbow. The pot of gold, your companions. You certainly know how to spend a day.

They do have the feel of placement somehow. Perhaps one of the Giants that once stalked our country once was playing with them…….:)
